Abstract
With the further development of Chinese economy, the international culture communications between China and foreign countries are increasing, and tourism industry has become one of the most prosperous and influential industries in China. More and more foreign tourists are attracted by beautiful and charming scenery, profound culture and unique customs, and come to visit China. The introductions to scenic spots are the easily and the most effective channel for tourists to learn about the place which they hope to visit. An appropriate translation is not only a successful significance to scenic spots, but also a great attraction to foreign tourists. Therefore it is a necessary to make a study on the translation of introductions to scenic spots. This paper takes skopos theory as theoretical framework and selects agritourism as research objective to demonstrate the importance of translation of introductions to scenic spots. In this paper, the previous studies on the translation of agritourism are reviewed, and their features at lexical level and discoursal level are analyzed. Under the guidance of skopos theory and the analysis of the author, this paper makes the applications on the translation of inductions to scenic spots and provides translation approaches. The aim of this paper is to take the opportunity not only to provide a reference for translators on the translation of introductions to scenic spots, but also to improve and promote the Chinese characteristic tourism to the world.
