Abstract
Language is the carrier of culture,and language is a mirror, the cultural differences between English and Chinese not only impress their respective languages, but also added huge obstacles to the semantic transformation of these two languages. Both English and Chinese have a long history and contain a large number of idioms. To be faithful to the original text, we must express the original text's thoughts according to the language rules of the target text.Most Chinese and English idioms carry different cultural characteristics and information, reflecting all aspects of people's life.To achieve this, we must first have a comprehensive understanding of the culture of English and Chinese idioms. Similarly, idioms are also one of the concrete reflection of cultural differences.
