Abstract
Translation involves the establishment of all relevant connections-connecting one culture with another culture and language to create conditions for unlimited exchange of goods, technology and ideas. In the 21st century, the rapid process of globalization has made country-to-state exchanges increasingly close, and the number of tourists coming to China is increasing. The 2016 G20 summit was successfully held on the banks of West Lake, making Hangzhou a tourism craze and enhancing Hangzhou ’s internationalization. Level. In the prosperity of Hangzhou and the process of publicity abroad, West Lake, as a famous tourist scenic spot in the country, undoubtedly played an extremely important role. The translation of the name of the West Lake attractions (Chinese to English) is like an English business card handed out to foreign tourists, which plays an important role in self-introduction. The translation of the name of the scenic spot not only directly reflects the level of the translator, but also affects to a certain extent whether tourists will choose this scenic spot as the object of the tour. Therefore, this article will use Hangzhou as the research object of English translation of tourist attractions, and put forward solutions to the problems in translation from the perspective of cultural differences between English and Chinese, in order to achieve the purpose of translation.
