Abstract
When kung fu panda, an American film with Chinese characteristics, was brought to the screen, the cultures of China and the United States collided violently. The elements in the film all have a unique Chinese style, but the main plot is a rendering of the American spirit. In the process of forming and developing, China and the United States have produced distinct cultures. China and the United States have different ideas and values, as well as distinctive social customs and education. With the increase of comprehensive national strength and the cultural exchanges between China and the United States, the relationship between the two countries is getting closer. Therefore, the study of the cultural differences between China and the United States has become an important issue in transnational communication. About this film, this article discusses cultural differences from five aspects, which are as follows: Seriousness meets humor, Individualistic heroism, Education and individual liberation, Leap of thought, Different religious beliefs.
