Abstract
With the economic globalization, international business communication is becoming more and more frequent, and the importance of business translation is increasingly prominent. Business English is an interdisciplinary subject of English language and international business. Its unique linguistic features make it different from common English and literary English. Functional equivalence theory plays an important guiding role in business English translation. This paper USES this theory to analyze and discuss the translation of business English. Many western translation theories have discussed the "equivalence" in translation, among which the most influential one is the "functional equivalence" theory of Eugene a. nida, A famous American translation theorist. Functional equivalence theory plays an important guiding role in business English translation. This paper USES this theory to analyze and discuss the translation of business English. Through careful study, the author believes that functional equivalence theory is one of the best theoretical principles to guide business English translation. In the first chapter of zai's following writing, the author introduces nida's functional equivalence theory and analyzes the feasibility of applying functional equivalence theory to guide business English translation. In the second chapter, this paper first discusses the definition and classification of business English translation, and then proposes the principle of applying functional equivalence theory to business English translation. The third chapter analyzes the features of business texts from the aspects of vocabulary and syntax. Finally, in the conclusion, the author will summarize the main ideas and significance of this paper.
