Abstract
What we cherish the most in marriage? Love or money? Actually, this is an actual issue in present marriage, many females would like to select a good conditioned husband, so as to lead a happy life, and they consider material as the condition of life. Jane Austen is one of the famous British realist writers of the nineteenth century, most of her works are with the theme of love and marriage, "Pride and Prejudice" mainly focuses on a few different young love and marriage. The novel was finished with the consequent that the deadlock was broken up by love. Through the novel, we learn how to deal with love, money and marriage. Because when we consider the marriage question, then why not make a choice in the trade-off love and money. • Jane Austen in "Pride and Prejudice" marriage values worthy of modern women who learn to give a happy marriage for many women to provide a favorable theoretical protection. This paper attempts to analyze several marriages depicted in the novel, together with Jane Austen’s analysis of marriage, views on marriage. Finally explore the actual significance of this issue.
