Abstract
Jane Eyre is a famous novel by Charlotte Bronte, an English writer of Victoria era. At that time, women rights are not properly respected, even in economically most advanced England. Jane Eyre, who is an orphan, poor, demonstrates the courage to seek women independence seeking activities, even for the man he loved, she does not give up his independence ideology, both economically and mentally. And she even struggles in front of hostile environment. This is a amazing woman of independent at that time. This article will try to find out how and to what extent her life journey affects her character and personality, and discuss the importance of independence to women.
