Abstract
Emerson, Ralph Waldo is an outstanding thinkers, writers and literary critics in the nineteenth century of America. A lot of Great person give him highly admiration, Eileen Chang who is our Chinese famous authoress once said that :”And now it seems that Emerson's works don’t lost its timeliness, that is what make us feel admiring”. President of U.S.A. Obama considered it is one of the greatest books in his life. Emerson’s essay “Self-Reliance” use philosophical words, romantic imagination to expound his own view of human and society. The core point of “Self-Reliance” is Independence, that means depend on yourself, respect for yourself. The other two main views in his works are the innovation and integrity. All of these are striking feature of the positive spirit, are also the essence of enterprise culture, the rapid development of society is closely related to the spirit. Many inspirational masters such as Dell,Carnegie,Napoleon etc all encouraged by Ralph Waldo Emerson’s ideas.
