从恐怖电影看美国文化
Abstract
The relationship between movies and culture involves a complicated dynamic; while American movies certainly influence the mass culture that consumes them, they are also an integral part of that culture, a product of it. The United States is the third largest country in the word with a population of more than 325 million. In addition to Native Americans who were already living on the continent, the population of the United States was built on immigration from other countries. Because of this, the United States is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Nearly every region of the world has influenced American culture. Horror movies show us what we fear. And among the most successful horror films of the year, one took the standard tropes of its genre and upended them in order to get at some unexpected and timely truths about American society. And American people are crazy about horror movies. From this point of view, this paper analysis the American culture from the horror movies.
