Abstract
Language is not only an instrument of human communication, but also the carrier of human culture. Since English becomes more and more important under globalization, how to grasp strategies of effective phonetic learning, and to have a natural, fluent pronunciation for English major students have become important. At present, most English major students have the problems of inaccurate phonetic pronunciation, ignorance of stressed and weak pronunciation and ignorance of the tone in sentence, which are caused by the negative transfer from mother tongue and lack of learning environment. Therefore, the paper proposes some strategies to improve pronunciation learning with examples, including the combination of pronunciation with letters and sentences, paying attention to contrasts of English and Chinese pronunciation, imitating in the pronunciation with practice and creating English language learning atmosphere.
