Abstract

Hamlet is one of Shakespeare’s four famous tragedies, representing Shakespeare’s highest artistic achievement. Through the description of complex characters and with the help of unique tragic art techniques, it highlights the profound tragic significance. In order to deeply understand this great tragic work, this paper introduces the background of Hamlet’s drama creation at first. Then, combined with Shakespeare’s time and experience, this paper discusses the concrete refraction of social factors in Hamlet. Finally, by analyzing the external manifestation of Hamlet’s tragic character, this paper discusses the external factors that lead to the tragic fate of Hamlet. Understand the author as the Pearl of literature and art and the literary and artistic achievements of Renaissance.
