Abstract
This paper, analyses elements of context that affects the understanding. Reading comprehension is not only based on the literal meaning of the words, but also understand the implied meaning. Correct understanding cannot be separated from the context. The aim of language teaching is not only to let students grasp the principles and structure of the language they learn, but also to make them be able to use the language. In English classes, teaching in context will help them a lot to understand texts and to use the language in appropriate situations with exact words to express themselves.
