Abstract
As we know, words are the foundation and cores of English. All kinds of words gather to vocabulary. How important does English vocabulary teaching for primary school students?
At first, we should know what vocabulary is, every words has a long history .We can know every word is a reflection of history and culture. Secondly, we should know characteristic of primary school student, it is difficult for primary school students to master multifarious vocabulary.
It is necessary for us to discuss how vocabulary teaching and learning method can be improved at primary school levels and explore some possible strategies for enhancing the students’ vocabulary. This article provides us some methods of how teaching English vocabulary can be delivered. They should also make full use of class time to help students master the use of words they have learned.
