Abstract
According to professor PaulRankin, "listening" accounts for 45 per cent of all human language activity. The first step in the language of human nature acquisition is to listen, then to speak, and to read, write, and even think on the basis of listening and speaking. English hearing impairment can be divided into language barriers and non-language barriers. The causes of students' English listening obstacles : language foundation is weak, weak awareness, insufficient vocabulary, poor comprehensive understanding ability, lack of background knowledge, poor listening habits, psychological factors, etc. Improve the English listening strategy: master the correct pronunciation, intonation and rhythm. They have a large vocabulary; Solid knowledge of grammar; Create a good language environment, extensive reading and speaking. To learn and master listening skills; Knowledge of cultural background; Keep a good attitude and habit.
