Abstract
Idioms are fixed phrases or sentences that express the general concept, with distinct language features. In this paper, we use the relevant theory of linguistics to compare the similarities and differences of English and Chinese Idioms To explore its performance in the language structure, expression and cultural connotation, to explore the differences between English and Chinese idioms, and to provide some suggestions and methods for the future study of better application and teaching.
