Abstract
As a branch of translation, online news English translation has its particularity. The translator should not only have the linguistic skills of both English and Chinese, but also the in-depth understanding of network journalism. This paper first expounds the traditional translation theories at home and abroad. Secondly, it analyzes the characteristics of online news. Finally, it gives some suggestions on the online news compilation based on the features of online news
