Abstract
The main purpose of English teaching in the primary school is not to master how much knowledge, but to cultivate student’s interest in English learning, to train students’ preliminary sense of language, and to ground them well in pronunciation and intonation. So phonetic teaching has been an important aspect in primary school. However, English phonetic learning will not catch any attention basically, the limited qualifications of teacher affected the reform of English phonetic teaching in primary school. Therefore, it is important to do the survey and make a reflection on English phonetic teaching in primary school.
In order to improve the quality of phonetic teaching under present situation of primary school, the author took the users of the school in Yin Chuan city as research subjects, and made a survey on phonetic teaching. The result shows that some students are still suffering from inaccurate and broken pronunciation, and they cannot phonetically spell words independently.
The thesis investigating the importance of English phonetics teaching, and based on the questionnaire survey and observation method finds out the difficulties in phonetics learning and provides the readers with some practical solutions and suggestions for teaching English phonetics.

摘 要
小学阶段教授英语的主要目的并不是要求学生掌握多少的英语知识,更多的在于激发学生的兴趣,培养学生初步的语感和良好的语音语调基础。因此,语音教学成为小学英语的一个重要方面。但在实际教学中,由于师资水平有限,英语语音基本不被重视等问题的存在,阻碍了小学语音教学的发展。因此,对小学英语语音教学现状进行调查研究显得尤为重要。
为突破当下小学语音教学的困境,提高教学质量,笔者分别以银川市某小学教师和学生为研究对象,展开了对语音教学现状的调查。通过分析数据发现学生发音不标准,语音不流畅及缺乏独立拼读单词的能力等诸多问题。
本文将从英语语音在小学英语教学中的重要地位入手,通过问卷调查以及观察法相结合的研究方法对小学生在音素发音和单词拼读方面存在的较为普遍的问题进行分析,并提出一些相应的对策及教学方法。
