Abstract
Different nations have their different address system。 it reflects the different roles of both communicative status, affinity relationships and values。When people use the right form of address, they can communicate easily。After joining the WTO, China is more closely connected with foreign countries, China's economy has been developing rapidl.All the countries over the world start to pay attention to China, and start to learn Chinese language.But English is now the world's most widely used language.In order to avoid pragmatic failure of address forms in intercultural communication, the difference between Chinese-English appellation should be learned。 The difference of address terms is due to the difference of national culture, patriarchy concept and courtesy principle。 This paper analyzes the Kinship address and social address of English and Chinese, and analysis the reasons of the differences between English and Chinese address.So as to reach the goal of learning the cultures of both sides, and make the exchanging and communications of different cultures more conveniently.
