Abstract
《Little Women》was a novel published in 1868 and written by American author Louisa May Alcott. The story concerns the lives and loves of four sisters growing up during the American Civil War. It throughout the United States and the civil war as a background, outlines a ordinary family life of new American England area. From the 1950s to the 1960s,the emergence of a large number of American literature and works of women writers. The works created by the women writers were very popular at that time. Women writers and works of literature was firmly occupied the market. Louisa May Alcott’s famous 《Little women》 reflects the trend of the times.
In today’s society, no matter in family life or social choice, more and more women require social justice, equality of opportunity and freedom of choice. So the study of feminism has its rationality and importance, and 《Little Women》 has been shining glory in the works of female literature, with its strong representation. This paper tries to explain the characteristics of feminism in little women from the perspective of marriage, the pursuit of dreams, freedom and equality, independence and so on. Through the study of the feminism, the brilliance of the more in-depth understanding of women’s liberal, for female literature research building blocks.
