Abstract
Cross-cultural communication study is a complexity project; It involves in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study. The research subject is numerous, the research scope is wide, and the research method is diverse. In recent years, with the degree of society opening deepened and the field of opening extended constantly in China, the development of cross-cultural communication is approaching its high level which it has never reached before. More and more people are engaged in cross-cultural communication activities such as the exchange in the domains of economy, politics, education, sports, trade and so on. The success of these exchange activities largely depends on the effective cross-cultural communication. As one of the most important forms of cross-cultural communication, the international educational culture exchange plays a key role, such as studying abroad, overseas academic exchange communication, overseas visiting scholar program and so on. These activities prove that cross-cultural communication will naturally have an impact on the culture of a country, and thus also will stimulate a country to reform and improve its education system.
This thesis attempts to compare the difference and the common practice of education system between China and West regarding education method,education content, education value, teaching mechanism and the talent identification in order to work out a better way to improve and perfect Chinese education system. This article considers that the features of Chinese and Western education system are subject to the education value of each country. However, the education value is decided by each country’s educational culture, and the education culture is finally based on the historical culture in that country. So, the culture of different country reflects the education system with different characteristics. For this reason, cross-cultural communication can make countries with different cultural backgrounds get to know and learn from each other. It will be definitely helpful to the innovation of education system by analyzing the different education value and teaching mechanism and so forth between Chinese and Western educational system. By this way, people can find a better way to improve their perspective education systems scientifically.
