Abstract
As time goes by, under the tendency of globalization, China has become more and more international. China is a country which with very developed cuisine culture. The Chinese Dish names are colorful and contained rich cultural information. At the same time, Chinese food has become very famous all over the world. Because of it’s diverse choices, more and more foreign friends are fond of Chinese food, which provides an opportunity for spreading the Chinese cooking culture. Meanwhile, the more accurate of the translation of Chinese dish names, the more conducive to foreign friends understanding and disseminating Chinese food. The translation of English of the Chinese dish names is not easy as there are great cultural differences in the naming of dishes names between China and the West. How to translate the Chinese dish Names rightly? They all reflecting Chinese unique culinary craftsmanship, containing profound cuisine culture, and reflecting the splendid Chinese culture. Therefore, understanding the naming methods and cultural characteristics of Chinese dishes becomes the basis for the translation of dish names.
