Abstract
With the further development of foreign business and the deepening of globalization, China is having increasingly frequent international exchanges. In the 21st century, as China's pace of reform and opening up accelerated, it successfully joined the WTO, hosted the 2008 Olympic Games, and hosted the 2010 World Expo, which became the symbol of China's further integration with the world and accelerated China's internationalization process. In order to integrate China into the international community, it is necessary to strengthen the exchange and dissemination of Chinese culture with the world's different civilizations. This has led to an increasingly important role for translators as a bridge to cultural exchange. Translation is a complex academic activity, especially the translation of recipes in Chinese and English food culture, both interpretation and translation, which puts higher demands on the translator. To accurately translate Chinese recipes to foreign guests, the translator needs to have solid translation theory and rich practical experience, familiar with the recipe structure, local cultural characteristics and skilled translation skills.
