Abstract
Little Women is a representative work of Louisa May Alcott's writing career. It is also the most famous female work in the history of American literature. It is famous for its warm and moving plot.
The novel vividly depicts the growth process of the four sisters of the March family and shows the social status quo of that era for readers. At the same time, the author also uses several representative female characters in the book to make Little Women present a strong feminist thought.
Based on an overview of the author and her works, this paper analyzes the feminism embodied in the original Little Women from three perspectives: the pursuit of free love, the pursuit of equal family and social status, and the pursuit of independence.In addition, combined with the embodiment of feminism in modern life, this paper analyzes the influence and practical significance of Feminism on modern society.
