Abstract
Moby Dick is a novel published in 1851. This is a narrative novel with the theme of the sea. The story is about captain Ahab, in order to chase and kill Moby Dick, leading the crew all the way to the end of the joint destruction at last. Moby Dick is a rich novel, based on Herman's voyages when he was 22. Melville used distinctive symbolic writing techniques in many places and used symbols and metaphors with profound philosophical thoughts in many places. In order to further explore the multi-level meaning contained in Moby Dick. This paper will differ from the social background and historical development and has different symbolic characters in the novel, animals, and the analysis of natural things.
