Abstract
Bilingual teaching is an organic combination of foreign language teaching and subject teaching. In most cases, it refers to Chinese-English bilingual teaching in China. In the process of bilingual teaching and learning, we should not weaken the learning science and teaching by strengthening English language teaching and learning. The latest research of the national "11th Five-year" Bilingual Teaching Experiment project group shows that in the process of bilingual teaching, Chinese and English should be interspersed scientifically in the whole teaching activity.With the development of China's educational reform, bilingual education has become a hot topic in China's educational circles in recent years. This paper first defines bilingual teaching, then analyzes the background and current situation of bilingual teaching in Chinese universities, and finally puts forward how to construct bilingual teaching in universities with Chinese characteristics.
