Abstract
After entering the 21st century, international exchanges become more and more frequent among countries. English as a common language in the world is particularly important. Especially in highly competitive world, it is impossible to achieve the "Chinese Dream" by only reading and writing English. At present, most parents have realized the importance of oral English and have looked for ways to improve pupils’ oral English,and hoped their children can speak fluent English. However, in the past, most of English teaching was to cope with the exam. The English lessons were focused largely on grammar rules and memorization, and the English in the textbook is usually quite different from the language actually used by English speakers, and in sufficient language practice has led to the fact that students cannot communicate even though they have learned English for several years. In this paper, the writer will briefly analyze the reasons why students cannot communicate after learning English for several years, and focus on how to improve pupils’ oral English
