Abstract
In the modern society, Spring festival and Christmas are both two important holidays. Especially Christmas is becoming more and more influential. It will be an inevitable trend. Thus we ignore traditional festival. I will discuss the two festivals from origins, customs, differences and analysis the reasons in this article.
Spring festival and Christmas with traditional features are two cultural forms. They formed and developed on the basis of two independent culture systems. The purpose for studying the culture of Spring festival and Christmas is to inherit past traditions and carry forward the excellent national cultural tradition and learn from the cultural essence of traditional western festivals, so as to understand and carry forward the traditional festival culture of China and make contribution to the construction of advanced Chinese culture and keep pace with the times.
This paper introduces contents and customs of Spring Festival and Christmas. It emphatically compares the differences and similarities between Christmas and Spring Festival, and pointing out that the two have something in common, which are looking forward to well-being, and blessing in the future. Hopefully my study may make some contribution in this direction.
