Report on Selected Translation of The Ten Rules of Sam Walton
Abstract: This paper is a combination of practice and theory, which drives home the actual difficulties in translation. The author attempts to solve and analyze the problems with the aid of Skopostheorie. Problems occur in tentative translation are selected, sorted and analyzed explicitly. The application of Scopostheorie is a conscious eva luation of the ST intention and the TT function in the target language. The paper contains two parts: a brief introduction of Skopostheorie and analysis of the translation process. With a clear understanding of the “goal” the translator, this study identifies five categories of translation-related problems, i.e. nouns and proper nouns, omission, emphasis, punctuation and feminism consciousness in translation.

山姆沃尔顿的十条规则中选定翻译报告
摘 要 本文旨在运用目的论对本次翻译实践进行定向分析,继而结合相关翻译理论对翻译过程中的具体问题进行分析探讨。作者在选译《山姆•沃尔顿事业成功的十大法则》第五章的过程中精选了各种翻译难题,并在翻译过程中有意识地记录相应的解决方法。对所收集问题进行分类,归纳总结后,作者参考相关翻译理论结合实际情况提出了相应的解决方案。
