ABSTRACT
This paper first briefly introduces Jane Austen and her work Pride and Prejudice, Charlotte and her Jane Eyre. And then analysis and comparison of the two works are made from the perspective of feminism. It finds they have something in common in the representation of feminism and both have their limitations. Different opinions on gender relationship and their views on love and marriage are analysed as well. Finally, this paper makes an inquiry into the reasons for their differences from two perspectives. It can be concluded that their differences are a combined result of the different social and family backgrounds of the two writers.
