William Faulkner and His Influence on the Writing(+Style) of the American South Novels
ABSTRACT
Regarded as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century, William Faulkner relentlessly chronicled the condition of the antebellum American Deep South. Creating characters and stories within the fictional Yoknapatawpha County and beyond, Faulkner seamlessly blended the harsh realities of the southern conditions with the rich cultural histories of his own imagination. This article focuses both on William Faulkner’s life experience and artistic styles, in addition to his influence on the development of the American southern literature.
