摘 要
《傲慢与偏见》是18世纪末、19世纪初英国著名女作家简·奥斯丁的代表作。小说通过描写班纳特五个女儿对待终身大事的不同处理展现作者对批判现实主义时期女性爱情婚姻观的独特见解,尤其是通过女主人公伊丽莎白形象的塑造表现作者的自我追求和女权主义意识的觉醒。本文首先试图从作品的故事情节、语言及与其他主人公的对比等方面对伊丽莎白的性格进行剖析,突出描写女主人公自尊自爱、聪明理智、争取平等与自由的女性意识,进而分析伊丽莎白性格形成的内外因以及奥斯丁女权主义观念因素等影响,使得读者对伊丽莎的形象能有更为深刻的认识。

ABSTRACT
Pride and Prejudice is a masterpiece of Jane Austen who was a famous woman writer in the early 19th century. By describing Bennet’s five daughters’ different attitudes to marriage, the author reveals her unique view on woman’s attitude towards love and marriage in that realistic age. The novel highlighted the character of Elizabeth to express the author’s pursuit of self-realization and her awareness of feminism. This paper first explores Elizabeth’s personality in the terms of plot, conversation and comparison between other figures, especially on Elizabeth’s self-esteem, intelligence, reason, pursuit of freedom and equality. Then this paper sums up the deep causes of Elizabeth’s which are affected by internal factors, external factors as well as the influence of Austen’s feminism. From the above analysis, readers might get a deep understanding of the image of Elizabeth.
