Semantics is a brand-new subject. It is a brand-new content that use semantics into English learning. My paper tries to use two important semantic theories, that is, semantics field theory and componential analysis and put them into English learning, and use the principles of semantics to learn vocabulary, we can use more scientific and effective means to enhance the vocabulary learning ability and also can summarize and find some principles in it. This theory has practical significance that can enhance our students’ interest in learning English and improve the ability of mastering English vocabulary and then use vocabulary better, more properly and more appropriately.
