摘 要
本文首先对艾米莉·狄金森诗人的人生做简要的分析，包括诗人的家庭背景、隐居生活和她的反叛思想，从而说明该诗人作品独特的根源。然后通过分析其语言的独特性、心理描写手法、意象与象征的运用，分析其诗歌的独特风格及独创性意义。最后总结诗人作为现代主义诗歌的先驱，在美国文坛上的独特地位及其对美国诗歌的杰出贡献。

ABSTRACT
This paper first analyzes the life of Emily Dickinson briefly, including the poetess’ family background, her reclusive life and her rebellious thoughts, to illustrate the resources of her unique poetry. It then analyzes Dickinson’s unique language style and originality meanings by exploring the functions and significance of her language features, special psychological description, image and symbols. It finally leads the conclusion of her language style, status in America literature and her contribution as a pioneer of American modernism poetry.
