Translation of Examples in Bilingual Dictionaries
Abstract: As an important tool of English learning, translation and research, bilingual dictionaries are more and more valuable to modern people. At the same time, there is an increasingly higher requirement on the translation of bilingual dictionaries, and many factors should be taken into consideration in the process of translation. This paper focuses on the translation of examples, one of the most important component of bilingual dictionaries. After analyzing the features and functions of the examples and the principles of examples translation, the paper sums up the requirements for the translation of examples in bilingual dictionaries. In accordance with these requirements, this paper further discusses the problems arising in the process of translation of examples in bilingual dictionaries and the solutions. It would provide more comprehensive and practical reference resources and become more helpful to us.

摘 要：双语词典作为现代人英语学习，翻译和研究工作的重要工具，已经越来越体现出其不可取代的价值。同时，我们对双语词典的翻译工作也提出了越来越高的要求，在翻译过程中需要考虑诸多因素。作为双语词典中一个重要的组成部分，本文主要对例证的翻译作一些具体的分析和阐述。通过对例证的特点和功能，例证的翻译原则的分析，归纳出例证译文的要求。据此再对例证翻译过程中遇到的问题和解决方案作一些探讨。从而为双语词典使用者提供更完善实用的参考资料，使双语词典成为我们更好的帮手。
