摘要
看电影学英语已经成为一种新兴的英语学习方法。英语电影需要翻译后才能被看懂，而在英语电影翻译中就有一个问题：怎样将英语电影中的詈语翻译成国人所能理解的汉语呢？由于英语詈语在我国英语教学中几乎没有涉及，词典里不收，研究者更是寥寥无几（胡士云 1997），所以绝大多数观众看不懂什么意思，不理解这些詈语，就很难分析其中的人物性格，从而影响了对电影的理解。结合英文成人类型电影《肖申克的救赎》（The Shawshank Redemption）、《断背山》（Brokeback Mountain）和《美国派Ⅰ》（American PieⅠ），本文将对英语电影詈语以及其翻译策略进行探讨，并解释就目前中国内地而言，为什么直译法、意译法跟省略法是三种最主要的翻译方法，在此基础上，笔者将分析当代“英语电影詈语翻译”方法的取舍趋势——直译法会逐渐成为最主要的翻译方法，而意译法跟省略法则变成次要的翻译方法。

Abstract
Learning English by watching movies has always become a new way of studying English. Only after movies are translated, can they then be understood by most of the Chinese audiences. However, there is a problem during the translation—how to translate the English movie’ cursing terms into similar ones in Chinese which makes the Chinese audiences easy to understand. For the most Chinese audiences, it’s difficult for them to understand the English cursing, because they can’t learn them in the classes or find them in dictionaries. Due to the misunderstanding of the English cursing, Chinese audiences won’t understand the personalities of the performers in the movies, let alone the movies. While appreciating The Shawshank Redemption、Brokeback Mountain and American PieⅠwhich are adult’s movie, the author will discuss about English movies’ cursing and its translation methods will be discussed in this thesis. Meanwhile, it will be explained that on the present situation of the mainland China, why metaphrase, free translation and omission translation are the there main ways of translating the English curing terms into Chinese. Besides, the author will also analyze the trend of the ways of translating the English curing, holding that metaphrase will become the main way.
