Abstract
If someone asks you in the entertaining industry of the 2007, what is the most popular thing, what is the hotly-discussed topic among the public, I believe the answer of millions of people probably goes to the same one--- Soldiers Sortie, a TV series which tells us a story about a country boy’s legendary army career.
In this paper, I tend to state clearly some of my points: firstly, why does the Soldiers Sortie appear to be a big hit?; secondly, this TV series makes me believe that even a common person could manage to be successful, such as Xu Sanduo and Forrest Gump; thirdly, the valuable merits of the key characters in this series have such a profound influence on people from all walks of life, particularly on the young people that it deserves our nationwide learning; fourthly, in reality, what kind of person could make success actually; fifthly, is there someone who resembles the fictional Xu Sanduo in our living world？
The unexpected success of this series drives us to think about some important things in life, and its profound influence on the whole society and morally instructive meaning to the public that can’t be ignored.
