On the Symbolic Meaning and Artistic Effect
of Moon in D.H.Lawrence’s Works
摘 要
劳伦斯是20 世纪英国著名的小说家,在他的作品中,他善于运用现代主义的象征手法,为其小说服务,以推动故事情节,渲染气氛。本文拟从其象征主义手法,尤其以“月亮”这一意象在其主要小说及诗歌作品中的独到运用为例,对其主要的象征意义及产生的特殊效果加以阐述和分析,使读者更好地理解其小说作品的意境,深挖作品内涵,升华对作品主题的认识。

ABSTRACT
D ·H ·Lawrence was a famous novelist of the 20th century in England. He was good at applying modernistic symbolism to serve his novel to promote the story and to render the atmosphere. This article mainly concentrates on the particular symbolic meaning of moon in his novels and poetries, practicing and analyzing its generated special effects to help readers understand the profound meaning and dig into the deep connotation so as to sublime our understanding of the theme.
