Analysis of Gender Differences in Vocabulary
and Syntax in Daily English
Abstract: This paper first gives a brief introduction of the structure. And then it elaborates gender differences from the perspective of vocabulary and syntax such as adjectives, adverbs, color terms, hedges, euphemism, sentence structure, tag-questions, imperative clauses and grammatical errors. It finally discusses some possible misunderstandings in cross-gender communication and gives tips on how to achieve effective communication.
