摘 要
本文意在揭示目前外语教学中存在的问题，并找到改进的方法。外语课堂教学存在的问题是多方面的，如教师中心问题，教学方法问题，学习者自主性问题。随着社会的进步，这些问题将阻碍英语教与学的发展。为了适应社会的进步，对教学方法改进与提高是势在必行的。作者就目前所存在的一些问题，提出以下六种改进教与学的方法：①加强基础教学；②改变以教师为中心，应试为导向的教学模式；③培养和保持学生兴趣；④培养学生学习中的策略；⑤利用IT技术，创设情境教学；⑥正确的评价学生。

Abstract
The topic aims to reveal the problems in the present foreign language teaching in the junior middle school, and find the methods to settle them. The potential problems in the present foreign language teaching are in many facets, such as teacher-centered, teaching methods and learner autonomy. With the development of the society, these problems will hinder the development of English teaching and learning. So in order to adapt to the social development, it’s necessary to adjust and improve the classroom method. According to the present problems, the author posts forward six methods to improve the teaching and learning: ①continuing to intensify the teaching of basic knowledge; ②changing the traditional teacher-centered and test-oriented pattern; ③training and keeping students’ interest; ④training students’ learning strategies in their studies; ⑤making use of the Information Technology to organize the contextual teaching; ⑥eva luating the students correctly.
