Abstract
The film has become an important part of modern civilization and social-cultural life. Hollywood is a symbol of contemporary American culture. From the point of view of mass entertainment culture, the development of film in the 20th century is basically the development of Hollywood and therefore it is the development of American culture, so it is also regarded as a symbol of American cultural colonization. However, in fact, what they really absorb is not necessarily American national culture when various countries are influenced and invaded by Hollywood American culture, but the cultural needs of the world. American culture has become a cultural icon that has been misread and mistranslated. Anyway, Hollywood movies also open a window for us to understand American culture and view of life of the American.
