Abstract
At present, high technology has been frequently and widely used in people’s daily life, so that smart home is more and more popular with the public. Smart home has special characteristics and it is safe, convenient, efficient, quick, intelligent and personalized. It can not only improve human beings’ life quality, but also be with great significance to create suitable, safe and convenient living space. Smart home has the developing trend of home life along with the development of computer technology, network techniques and information technology. Researches shows that smart home appeared early in 1984 in America and was brought into China in 1999. Therefore, smart home has been in China just for decades and the study of it is still on the initial stage. Based on the previous research, this thesis introduces the concept, principle and history of smart home. Then it studies the culture of smart home from two aspects, the application and influence, thus to analyze the relationship between Chinese culture and smart home, finding out a new way for the design of Chinese smart home. At last, this thesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of smart home and looks far ahead into the future of it.
