Abstract
In recent years, the great wave of western culture has swept across the east. In terms of food, In life, there are a large number of iPhone users in eastern countries. The popularity of YouTube and Facebook enables the lives of some people in Europe and America to be shown in detail before the eyes of easterners. They recommend European and American clothing brands, cosmetics, skin care products, electronic products, etc., enabling Oriental people to gradually accept western culture.
Most intuitively, we find that there are more people who celebrate Christmas every year than those who celebrate Spring Festival, especially teenagers. This phenomenon can not help but lead to ponder, Oriental culture will be forgotten abandoned? Could western culture take its place?
As the main medium of cultural expression, traditional festivals are of great significance in cultural inheritance. This paper takes the Spring Festival and Christmas as typical examples, discusses how the two festivals were formed, analyzes their forms of expression, religious influences, and compares their differences. Through the above, it finds a correct attitude and method to deal with them.
