Abstract
As is known to all, public languages are widely used in regions where people take Chinese as their mother tongue and they can be seen everywhere in urban cities. Yet, due to the culture factors like thinking mode, national psychology are different between countries, at the same time, the public languages constitute a special school in these places and tend to send a piece of simple information by using a descriptive and/or figurative language style. So, the translation of public languages are not standard. This paper pays attention to the related problems of English-Chinese public languages and the translation methods and it mainly investigate the language techniques of the public language.
