Abstract
According to “Open Portal Report” of the United States Institute of education, from 2011 to 2012, the number of Chinese students which was enrolled in higher education institutions increased by 23%. Nearly 200,000 students accounted for 25.4% of the total international students and China ranked first in the American international students for 3 consecutive years. "Studying abroad fever" continues to heat up. More and more Chinese students choose to study aboard. Therefore, they have to face up with the problem of languages. Because English is not their mother language, they have the difficulty in communicating with the students in English in native countries.
Only in this way can they adapt to the teaching mode of foreign universities and eliminate the anxiety of foreign studies. This paper studies the preparation of international students’ target language and is a case study of English speaking countries.
