Abstract
The advancement of industrial development and technological civilization has naturally conquered and destroyed, reaching an unprecedented level in the 20th century. American eco-literary writer Rachel Carson pointed out: "We are always arrogantly talking about conquering nature. We are not yet mature. We are only a small part of the huge universe." Since the 1950s, with the worsening ecological and survival crisis in the world, ecological thoughts have spread all over the human society, resulting in many interdisciplinary disciplines such as ecological philosophy and ecological sociology that are closely related to ecology. Ecocriticism is one of them. As a kind of literary criticism, ecocriticism studies the relationship between literature and nature, man and nature from an ecological perspective, and tries to break the deep-rooted humanism and humanity on the basis of human conquest, domination, transformation of nature and criticism of desire. The solid barrier of centralism pursues the ecological harmony that ultimately achieves harmony between man and nature. The Call of the Wild is one of the masterpieces of the relationship between man and nature. The author is going to explain the call of the wild from the aspect of ecocriticism.
