Abstract
In the growing competitive market around the word, when it comes to international trade, both the seller and the buyer need to rely on some tools to make sure that their business go well. As for the sellers, they are worried that sellers do not send good after paying in accordance with the contract. On the other hand, when the sellers send goods in response to the contract, they care about receiving no money from the buyers. Therefore, to address this problem, two banks are needed to be the guarantors of both parties on be half of collection and presentation of documents. Bank credit plays the role instead of commercial credit. The tool which bank uses is named Letter of Credit (L/C). L/C English is often seen as a type of English for specific purposes and has its own special linguistic and stylistic characteristics. Translation of Letter of Credit English should be clear and concise as well as a good expression of the original version. This paper gives a detailed description on language feature of Letter of Credit English and translation strategies of Letter of Credit English from some aspects.
