Abstract
With the trend of globalization,consecutive interpretation plays an important role in the process of cross-cultural communications. Meanwhile, press conference with its characteristics of disseminating coverage and high diffusing speed has become an important approach of obtaining and publishing information.
This thesis focuses on the strategies of Chinese-English consecutive interpretation,
under the guidance of Skopos Theory and its three rule,this thesis makes an analysis on the interpretation strategies at the press conferences, such as the literal interpretation, translation strategies, Word Order Adjustment, omission, amplifica-
tion and adjusting the order of words ,hoping that it will provide some theoretical reference to the interpreting work at the press conference and give some inspirations to the interpreters.
