Abstract
Diet is absolutely necessary in people’s daily life, and even in the development of society an the progress of human civilization. It is the premise when people deal with all the social activities. However, due to the influence of geography, climate, social cultures, history cultures, customs, along with the difference in resources, seasoning and taste and diet habit, there are big differences between Chinese and Western diet culture. This thesis endeavors to studies the cultural differences and the root causes in Chinese and Western diet cultures from perspective of concept, Object and Etiquette, and point out that with the development of communication and integration of the international, the contact between Chinese and western is more and more frequent, the western diet culture and the Chinese diet culture has a great mutual influence.To study both parties’ dietary culture difference from various aspects, it can not only help us to strengthen the awareness and adaption in the culture communication, but also can enhance our understanding, toleration and acceptation to foreign culture.
