Abstract
Language is the product of social existence.
In the communication between Chinese and English, it's essential to master the language itself as well as the profound knowledge of cultural background.
As we all know ,there are many differences in everyday conversations between Chinese and English. The most important reason is that they have different cultures. With the development of communication in the world, many misunderstandings and mistakes in conversation are appearing easily and not good for our communication.Different culture affects the custom and ways of conversation. The difference shows in the aspects as: friendship, thanks and compliments, privacy and taboos, greetings, manners and customs,farewells etc.
Studying the ways of cooperativeness and using media especially for realizing cultural differences and the communication patterns is a good way to know speaker's patterns of thought, world views and values, which has so much help to avoid mistakes in Everyday Conversations between Chinese and English.
