Abstract

A lot of people have different interpretations on the ideas passed out from Walden. In this paper, through analyzing the Walden and combining with today’s natural and social environment, to prove the practical significance in Walden. This paper starts from the writing background and purpose with a brief introduction. Walden is a classic work, many writers and scholars have made a high eva luation. By relevant overview of economy、nature civilization and human civilization to introduce the main contents of this paper. Walden has a great impact at that time and now. Thoreau’s life practice of back to nature makes us meditate ourselves. Finally it summarizes the research significance of this paper.
